ReplyDeleteb) Fuck advertising? without advertising there would be far less competition which means that no one is trying to 1-up the next person and thus society would not progress as quickly as it has.
advertising is simply to create awareness. Without advertising, some of the the most important information and events would not be able to be conveyed amongst a wide audience.
I think you really mean fuck consumer culture cuz consumer culture is the real fukd up thing in society. Consumer culture makes ppl forget about the collective needs and only think about the individual wants. Advertising is simply the medium in which the consumer culture is communicated. Now dont blame advertising for being the medium because blaming advertising for communicating consumer culture would be like blaming your phone for something that the dude on the other end said.
